Caroline Cole

Strategic Communications Student

Hello!

Welcome to my personal portfolio. My name is Caroline and I am a Public Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. I majored in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with minors in Digital Studies, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability. I am originally from New Jersey and my career interests include using my communications experience in the environmental sector. I enjoy telling stories through my writing.

Outside of work, I am a Market Assistant with Compost Cab, a D.C.-based company that helps residents compost their food scraps at local farmer's markets. I was involved in a few organizations on campus, such as the Clothing Swap Chair for Re-Wear It, the Sustainability Committee for Associated Students of Madison, Bucky™ PR and PRSSA. I was also a Science and Communications Writer at the Department of Chemistry. My job included writing human-interest stories, helping edit our new website, creating alumni relations, posting content to our website and writing news releases.

I am extremely passionate about the environment. In my free time, I am a runner. For more information about my professional aspirations, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
